Occupation debate[edit]

Hi LivinRealGüd. What's the issue here? No one is denying that he produces records, it's mentioned numerous times throughout the page. Obviously a hobby, though successful and apparently popular(?), is not the same as his primary occupation, and the page should reflect that accurately. 124.41.232.25 (talk) 05:44, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Thanks for taking this to the talk page. Firstly, would you mind sticking with one account as opposed to multiple IP addresses. Wikipedia requires that editors, on the whole, just use one account to make edits. Anyway, young D-Sol is indeed an investment banker so as is listed in his occupation tab. It is here where it gets complicated. I get what you're saying, he does investment banking as a job and only recreationally does music. I am interpreting occupation as is laid out at Template:Infobox person#Parameters. His production of music, although not his primary sign of notability is nonetheless notable. He's a 50 something year old man who has reached the principle of banking and also DJs on the side. It has received a lot of coverage and by the look of the present reliable sources, he has received a fair level of commercial, professional, and critical success. I think you're looking at it as if it were a job and not an activity one occupies themselves with. LivinRealGüd (talk) 05:54, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I change my mind, thats a good idea. Restored your edits. LivinRealGüd (talk) 18:14, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I didn't know anonymous edits were problematic on Wikipedia. Will look into it. Thanks for the tip and happy editing. 156.233.123.149 (talk) 06:39, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. As an aside, editing on an IP address doesn't mean you're anonymous. Wikipedia Policy prefers that an editor creates an account to edit under a single name. As of right now it seems like more than one person has your same idea when in fact its just you going on to different IP addresses. Net Worth[edit]

I was checking the source for his reported 580 Million $ net worth. However following the source leads to a public net worth of only ~50 Million Dollars. Should we change this? Does anyone have another source for the higher number? Haven't found any other sources that prove this number.

Thanks!

Corrected. Not sure if it is a reliable source, but the number seems not unreasonable, unlike the 580 figure. Edwardx (talk) 10:21, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2018 divorce[edit]

Hey guys, I have had my changes on his divorce date reverted as it was uncited. I actually read it on NY Post and I wasn't sure if that was worthy of being a source. Any input on this is appreciated. Thanks --LogicBloke (talk) 21:25, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

LogicBloke, there is no mention in that article of anything like divorce. What was your logic in including it? Edwardx (talk) 09:47, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Edwardx, Sorry, here is the proper article. A mere search for divorce will yield the sentence that says he and his wife Mary divorced after being separated for a few years. Thanks! --LogicBloke (talk) 23:58, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Butcher job in New York magazine[edit]

This article is pretty positive. In the August 14–27 2023 issue of New York (magazine) (sorry I don't have an online reference) there is an article that presents quite a different picture. Calls him a jerk, unlikeable, and says there's been an exodus from Goldman. I've added it under Further reading. deisenbe (talk) 00:21, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth[edit]

The 17/1/1962 has been mentioned. 2A00:23C4:7C8F:A400:30C5:5FFC:B5F8:8956 (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
