Picture[edit]

deserves a picture surely this guy. and descriptioons of the magic Tiksustoo 10:29, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree he deserves a picture. David Nixon's TV shows were what introduced me to magic and the same goes for lot of people I know. The difficulty is in finding an image that meets Wikipedia's copyright/licensing criteria. Because (sadly) DN is deceased it isn't possible for someone to snap an image and GPL it. I guess the best hope is a grabbed image from an old video of one of his TV shows as these seem to be acceptable in some circumstances - however I'm not even a hundred percent sure that would be OK, I need to re-read the policy.

Yes, such images are ok for deceased people and I have added one. Andrew🐉(talk) 17:04, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality[edit]

I've reverted the nationality description in the infobox to United Kingdom as that is the correct wording (actually in a passport it will say "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" but "United Kingdom" or "UK" are the accepted short forms for common usage). I mention this because someone anonymous (using AOL IP addresses) seems to be editing articles about UK citizens to remove reference to the UK. I don't object to a description of Nixon as an English magician because he was born in England and lived there and his image was very much that of an RP-accented English gent, but he was a media figure throughout the UK and was a UK citizen and that ought to be recognized.Circusandmagicfan 17:38, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Circusandmagicfan[reply]

Language??[edit]

Man oh man......the language of this article......are you kidding me? I'm going to edit just a bit for proper style. Buddpaul (talk) 22:14, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
