The 1958 television film series for which David Whitfield sang the title song was never known as The Adventures of William TellBold text, but simply William TellBold text. The opening titles of the series and the Decca record label on the 45 rpm single can be seen online and will confirm this. In the early days of the Internet the wrong title was put online by someone and it has been copied ever since by people who don't know any different.
