Untitled[edit]

Fun bit of trivia in Fantastic Four I#405, the tombstone of this world's Eric Masterson was seen-on Earth-616, Masterson became Thunderstrike in events after the divergence.

Re-Make[edit]

What about the 1997 3-part remake?

Sequels[edit]

It would be nice if the article was expanded to include a little info about the sequels, such as "Days of Future Present" which I believe took place in 1990 Annuals, or even the unrelated New Warriors story arc which I think was called "Days of Present Past". Days of Future Present[edit]

In the first sentence of the second paragraph under the plot heading, canon Rachel Summers is referred to as a version of the Rachel Summers that played a role in the original storyline. Then the sentence goes on to say that she is from a similar alternate future. This would imply that canon Rachel is NOT from Earth-811 since the Days of Future Past seems to be the reality given that designation (in the bracketed sentence at the end of the first paragraph under the same heading) whether one is talking about the reality before or after the change from actual future to alternate future. I'm wondering if it is possible to change the sentence to read "A grown-up version of Rachel Summers from the now-alternate future" since it would take into account the fact that Rachel Summers' homeworld's given designation IS Earth-811 (wherever I read about her) and the idea that, as has happened to other realities, this one was simply redirected to the more appropriate 'space'. If it is possible to change it in such a manner, please let me know so that I might be able to change it accordingly. Strongholyscholar (talk) 05:35, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Uxm141.png[edit]

Image:Uxm141.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A Full History Of The Days Of Future Past[edit]

I was a huge fan of the original storyline that took place. I liked everything about seeing a possible future for the Marvel Universe. When Rachel Summers arrived in the time I was excited that we would find out a full history of that universes characters and the differences between them and the 616 universe. In some issues of Excalibur we caught glimpses into that timeline, as well with the Days Of Future Present crossover. But what I've been dying for is an acutal series that depicts the transitional moment when Sen. Kelly was killed and how the Sentinels hunted down and killed or incarcerated the remainging super powered beings. I know at one point they were working on something along those lines, but unfortuneatly we never got a full series. I have seen panels and some dialogue so I know that it existed and it was dropped.

How many friends and family did Rachel hunt and kill? That is something that I want to know, aside from the evolution of that timeline before (not counting the 3 part series that they did with Wolverine.) I think it's time, and I think that fans who are interested in that timeline of earth 811 deserve a series to describe the death of Jean Grey (we know that she was killed by mastermind due to him detonating a nuke in Philly.) But the relationships that existed between the FF and the X-Men, and how other superheroes like Captain America, Spider-Man etc. were hunted and killed. I think that series, fleshing out Rachel's past and the score of events that led to that world would be aweseome and long overdue. I personally have thought up a ton of various storyline scenarios that would be fantastic to finally see in print and give people that were a fan of that series closure. I may be in the minority, I do not know. Any support would be fantastic and if anyone has any information for me to be able to actually email someone at Marvel and actually get a response would be more than helpful. Thanks everyone for your time in reading this and if there is anyone else that feels the same way, feel free to add to the thread, cause im dying to hear what other people think and feel about this situation. I think it could be a money maker, and it could be a great series to fully flesh out the differences from that world to ours and tie up loose ends that have existed since Rachel arrived. What about Sinister, or Apocalypse? I can't be the only one who wonders where these two stood in this world. Like I said above, any input, especially info on how to or where to write to Marvel about this. Thanks again, and feel free to respond to me via my talk page or whatever is easiest for you.

Ahab's hounds, Days of Future Past and Caliban[edit]

I've been doing a bit of research, albeit original, but research nonetheless regarding the hounds that were used in the Days of Future Past timeline. Although there has never been an exact depiction of that reality or the process of the hound creation, I'm beginning to wonder if Caliban was not used as a possible template for the hound process. His tracking abilities aside, if anyone has looked at Caliban's appearance, in some of his early appearance Caliban has markings that resemble the hound tattoo's that are on Rachel Grey's face. Again, I'm just speculating but it does appear that he could have been used as a template power wise, and tattoo wise, even though Caliban's facial markings appear to be part of his mutation, even though some later artists seemed to not draw them in. Continuity issues[edit]

Some mention should be made of the fact that in the original story Kate Pryde-Rasputin stated that Xavier died with Senator Kelly at the hands of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants but Rachel remembered him dying at his mansion at the hands of the US Army. Also in the original story Kate states that it is this assassination that makes her world the way it is but in Excalibur the Phoenix force states that it is Mastermind destroying Pittsburgh with a nuclear bomb that is the key event.--BruceGrubb (talk) 06:40, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have confirmed this. Kate's exact words in #141 are "The fact remains that on Hollowe'en, 1980 --today -- the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants will Murder Presidential Candidate Robert Kelly, along with Charles Xavier and Moira MacTaggert" (pg 13 panel 3 sic). The issue of Excalibur (Vol 1) is #52 and it states "But these X-men had never encountered Phoenix. Rachel's world grew suddenly sad and dark. Her mother was killed when Mastermind detonated a nuclear device in Pittsburg. The government used the disaster to outlaw mutantkind." (pg 18 panels 6-8, sic)--174.99.238.22 (talk) 04:33, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
