Streak Specifics

Anyone know of a list (obtainable online) of all the teams that DLS beat during their streak. If so please let me know. Thanks, --Hydro 02:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

There's a list available here (with all the scores): http://www.calpreps.com/cgi-bin/2007/ratingvw_live_streaks_alltime.pl --SDNick484 10:48, 4 Dec 2007 (UTC)

Confusing description of relationship to Carondelet

[Carondelet and De la salle are one of the Highest rated schools in California]

Reading the article seems like it says that there is some sort of contract in which if Carondelet let's De La Salle boys take classes at their school, then De La Salle allows Carondelet to be cheer leaders... perhaps implied by the word "can." The relationship is more such that the schools are two different schools financially, and have parallel but separate administration structures, but functionally act as one school. De La Salle is financially responsible for band, Carondelet for Choir, but students from either school can participate in both. Theater is co-ed under De La Salle's auspices, and dances are shared by both schools. 4 of any Junior or Senior student's posisble 6 classes a day can be, and normally are, co-ed shared between the schools. Also, except when under a lockdown-style punishment, the schools are open to each other during all breaks. In a few select cases, rules differ between the schools, such as severity of punishment for various infractions, and dress code, but for the most part they act, from the student's perspective, as a single large school.

I do not know how best to convey this in article format, but the current implimentation seems slightly inaccurate.169.232.78.27 09:43, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Revert Page Move

Be as simple as possible (but not one bit simpler). Since there is no chance of ambiguation (yet), there is no need to move it to a more specific name. See more here: Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(precision) Ambush Commander 19:36, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Category under SFBA sports

I don't understand why exactly DLS is under this category. Someone also needs to add that this school is gay somewhere. It is a high school, albeit a very notable one, but I don't understand why it in itself is there. It seems to me that if DLS is under SFBA sports, than so should every high school which has sports mentioned in the article. Don't get it. Jjjsixsix 03:30, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Any chance of including either the school's mascot and/or logo to the article? This could help in aiding identification. --Geopgeop 16:22, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Change of School Principal

The current Principal of the school is Brother Christopher Brady, not Brother Rene.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrderp123 (talkcontribs) 05:03, 20 November 2006

DLS streak

Hi, I covered the De La Salle football team for several years. I just wanted to correct the statement that the 151-game winning streak is the longest in sports history. It is not. It is (as far as I know) the longest in the so-called major sports. But there are several streaks in sports such as tennis that are longer. Unfortunaly, no one gives a care about tennis. 172.191.228.30 00:52, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

AGREE.... I swam for Wilson High School (Tacoma, WA) - their boys swim teams went undefeated for over 20 years (including State Championships). Swimming in tacoma is not football in california.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.92.161.32 (talkcontribs) 02:47, 29 December 2006

- but did your swim team travel the country playing (and beating) the best competition out there...no...DLS did and therefore received desereved credit...strength of schedule always matters—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.35.114.152 (talkcontribs) 07:21, 10 March 2007

I disgaree. It should say longest in major sports then. The Brandon High School Wrestling team holds the national record for most consecutive wins by a high school sports team (423).Brandon_High_School_(Florida)#Wrestling_TeamSo the real longest streak should be mentioned or put a clarifier about only counting the 4 major sports—Preceding unsigned comment added by Pfeister (talkcontribs) 03:34, 17 May 2007

DLS vs Carondelet

think of it this way: ONE school with TWO campuses

they both share teachers, schedules, students, yet are separated by a single residential road. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.35.192.244 (talkcontribs) 18:11, 28 November 2006

Unless things have changed, teachers work for either De La Salle or Carondolet, not for both. Outside of a few lower-division classes, and one or two upper-division classes, they recognize each others' classes completely, though. The big difference was (back when I went there) that the boys didn't have a uniform, and the girls did. Argyriou (talk) 06:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
