Fair use rationale for Image:Stickyfingersstones.jpg[edit]

Image:Stickyfingersstones.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Personnel[edit]

Mick Taylor almost certainly played guitar on this song. He's listed as doing so on the album, by Keno ( http://www.keno.org/stones_lyrics/deadflowers.html ) and TimeIsOnOur side ( http://www.timeisonourside.com/SODeadFlowers.html ), which contains a quote from him about which guitar he used.

Additionally, the lead is totally Mick Taylor style, Keith was never able to play like that.

This song is, in fact, considered notable as one of the few (only?) examples of a Rolling Stones studio song from the Taylor period in which all five Stones plus Ian Stewart played their main instruments, including Mick Jagger on guitar.

This is my first contribution to Wikipedia, so I'm not actually going to go in and change it, but somebody should.

Haven't looked at this page in a while, so it's good that you pointed this out. Great name, by the way. I'll go ahead and make the necessary additions/changes. Stan weller (talk) 23:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recording Date[edit]

The article says recording began in April 1970, but the sidebar says "Recorded 15 December 1969". What gives? 216.64.147.98 (talk) 18:44, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Aftermath (The Rolling Stones album) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 10:15, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This issue was resolved in November 2020 by moving page "Dead Flowers (The Rolling Stones song)" to "Dead Flowers (Rolling Stones song)". — CuriousEric 14:59, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
