Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... under Wikipedia:Notability_(music) A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, instrumentalist, etc.) may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria: Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles.
Death Spells is a musical project featuring:
1. Frank Iero formerly of the grammy nominated Platinum selling rock band My Chemical Romance along with Pencey Prep and Leathermouth.
2. James Dewees who's a member of The Get Up Kids and Leathermouth along with his own solo project Reggie and the Full Effect
For these reasons Death Spells meets both of the above criteria and so is notable. Nitromaster (talk) 16:52, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've declined the A7 CSD tag due to asserted significance and/or importance. However, the notability criteria indicates that the subject may be notable due to the independently notable members in the band. Keep in mind that it is not enough to assert notability of the subject. In order to meet the criteria for notability, the article must actually document (verify) that the assertion is true. We must establish notability through significant coverage in reliable and independent sources. Specifically, we cannot establish notability using primary or self-published sources. Note that I have removed the social networking profile from the article, since it is already offered on the band's website. Best regards, Cindy(talk) 17:30, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
