Birth year[edit]

According to IMDB and the Italian interwiki article, Deborah Cox was born in 1974, not 1973. Does anybody have any insight to this? Gilliamjf 06:56, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing absolute, but my research does lean towards 1973 - although, equally, my experience tells me that IMDB is rarely wrong. Has anyone got a more definite answer ?

Deborah was indeed born in 1974. When she was performing in AIDA on Broadway during the summer of 2004, she was thrown a big birthday party. On her website, she acknowledged turning 30 and that in your 30's you learn to discover more of who you are.

Vocal abilities[edit]

I love Ms. Cox, I truly do. But some of the info in this page is fancruftic. She isn't on the whistle register or seventh octave singer categories amd I'm shocked, since her page says she can sing higher than Mariah Carey and is in the record books for highest pitch ever (I thought that honor was on Georgia brown). Album Sales & Chart Hits Completely False[edit]

Who ever created these completely unrealistic numbers needs to be slapped.

Her debut went GOLD not 10xPlatinum! It also went Gold in Canada.

One Wish went PLATINUM not 8xPlatinum. It also went Platinum in Canada.

The Morning After did not go 4xPlatinum.

Remixed did not go 6xPlatinum

Ultimate Deborah Cox did not go 4xPlatinum

Destination Moon never went 2xPlatinum. Please check out http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php for proof.

Her debut album peaked at Hot100 #102/R%B #25 not #1/#1.

One Wish peaked at Hot100 #72/R&B #14 not #1/#1.

The Morning After hit Hot 100 #38/R&B #7 not #2/#1.

Remixed hit Top Electronic Albums #4 not #1, it also hit #85 R&B.

Destination Moon hit Hot 100 #175/R&B #24/Top Jazz Albums #3 not #3/#2/#1. I cannot vouch the remaining positions: Canada R&B#1/iTunes Top Jazz Albums #1 so I will leave them.

She also did not have 8 Top10 hits and 2 additional Top40 hits. I'm not even going to list how wrong these #'s are. Maybe it's wishful thinking or some crazed fan making up what he feels like should have been hits. But check out allmusic.com or the Billboard chart database. As for the UK, she has only had four entries: Sentimental #34 Who Do U Love #31 It's Over Now #49 Nobody's Supposed To Be Here #55. Info can be found at http://www.chartstats.com.
