Surname[edit]

Is her Vietnamese surname Lương? Badagnani 02:19, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most likely. She might be Hoa though, since I've only seen that surname in Chinese-Vietnamese. DHN 02:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need her Vietnamese name. Badagnani (talk) 18:45, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm curious, I agree with what DHN said. As a matter of fact, my paternal side of the family bears this surname, and they're Chinese born and raised in Saigon. My father saw this article and wonders if she (along with Luong Bich Huu) are Hoa or ethnically Vietnamese... Dasani 05:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citizenship[edit]

Is she an American citizen? Badagnani 02:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most Vietnamese who have lived in the US for more than 5 years are American citizens, especially those who came as refugees as opposed to as immigrants. They're not very likely to want to return to Vietnam. DHN 02:57, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I just got off the phone with one. She goes back from time to time but I understand that most do not. Badagnani 04:04, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I mean that they wouldn't want to return there to live there permanently. DHN 16:12, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You could say the same for all other Asian countries (Laos, Thailand, China, etc) except maybe for Singapore and Taiwan and Japan... ― LADY GALAXY ★彡 Refill/lol 23:24, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
