Additional Federation Stars[edit]

Currently the diagram only shows up to 40 years of service in which the recipient gets one federation star. Technically due to a higher compulsory retirement age in the Reserve Services of 65 and age extensions, it is possible to get more than one federation star by providing 45, 50, 55 etc. years of service. A very possible scenario is: joining the ADF (regular or reserves) at 17 and possibly transferring to the reserves at any point, then after turning 65 getting two years of age extensions and leaving the reserves at 67. This scenario is quite possible and would mean getting three federation stars. Do you think the diagram should reflect this or am I just detailing a too unlikely scenario? --TinTin (talk) 06:20, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, sorry for the belated reply. Interestingly, I have worked with someone who did just that. But it is very rare; hence it probably isn't necessary to create a graphic for this, IMO. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 11:16, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
