I'm not sure how much the reliability of this page can be trusted, as when I checked the source of the fact that Tony Cascarino is her father I found that the source used to support it says the exact opposite (corrected since then). After leaving a polite message on The C of E, they deleted it without answering or acknowledging in any way. All of this leads me to doubt the reliability and support measure of the references and to conclude that the page needs to be checked that the facts in article are supported correctly by the references by another user. I'm in the meantime tagging it, and if will check it myself when I have time if no one else gets to it. --SuperJew (talk) 17:58, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I was assessing the article on the WiR criteria and I reckon it passed on length, date of creation, referencing and absence of copyvios. I looked at the error that The C of E had made and I looked at several of the other references, but I did not see anything amiss. I am unaware of his proficiency in French but I am familiar with him in other areas of Wikipedia and I am not aware that his accuracy has been questioned elsewhere. @Cwmhiraeth: Thank you for the reply. I don't think it is an issue of French skills, as a simple Google Translate gave the answer (that's what I did mon ami). I am watching this page you know. I deleted it as I felt it was an issue that was dealt with better on the page. Mea culpa on my translation on that I admit, but aside of one minor translation error, I feel the rest is sufficient and can be cleared easily. The C of E God Save the Queen! It is perfectly notable, if there is a reasonable chance that people will think that they are related. Clearly others agree which is why you have been reverted. If the information is available (and reliably sourced) I think it is much better to be clear on the matter. In this case the player herself reports that she is often asked if she is related to Tony. If the information is deficient from the page we are only propagating further confusion and not serving our readers. Kindly note other examples like Maya Le Tissier, Dino Baggio and Ragnhild Gulbrandsen contain the same clarifications, for the same reason.
