It seems that during his lifetime, his name was transliterated like his brother's: e's for the η in his forename and i in the surname, with the Β transliterated as Latin B. Later in the 20th century, I have found sources transliterating it as Dimitrios Bernardakis, which is actually the more prevalent transliteration in Google. The more correct transcription is Vernardakis which is the modern standard, but that does not seem to be the most prevalent. I have decided to make the earliest known English transcription his name for the namespace, and mention the others in the lead.Jpbrenna (talk) 16:28, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
