Article Name[edit]

Just wondering if this articled should be re-named to something like 'Denny (Town)' or even just 'Denny'. Denny is not really in Falkirk. Its in Falkirk District Council's area however the county is Stirlingshire. Population of Denny[edit]

In the first paragraph it is stated that the population of Denny is 7385. This is from the 2001 census. Is there much point to keeping this value given that it is 8 years old and that the chance of it being very inaccurate are high? Ecopetition (talk) 19:00, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's better than nothing, and there's no reason to believe the population has deviated hugely since then. It's there mostly to give people the idea of the size of the town; so we find the most reliable source we can and we reproduce it. -- Finlay McWalter • Talk 22:37, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Population of Denny[edit]

I went to the old town house about 1986/7 and asked for the population of Denny.The reply was that they would give me the pop of Denny burgh,which includes Dennyloanhead and Dunipace,but they could only give me the stats for people in council housing at the time,the number they gave me was over 16,000,and that was mid 80's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kzero 1 (talk • contribs) 20:41, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
