UK's new premier axes Department of Energy and Climate Change[edit]

The UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has been scrapped and its brief folded into the newly created Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) department.[1] Should this be updated accordingly?--PhotographerTom (talk) 14:24, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's back![edit]

(November 2017) DECC has been resurrected, like some kind of ice-age zombie. It's not exactly encyclopaedic, but I was cold-called by a double-glazing salesman who offered help under "Green Deal" (also dead, also resurrected).

It turns out that although Green Deal is amongst the walking dead, they do not help with double glazing.

The undead Department has been given over £3bn from somewhere. It may have come from climate change fanatics in EU, or from someone well-positioned to help out their friends & relatives with "govt" money, on the back of the AWG scam.

The scheme is run by a private company (!) that arranges loans (for homeowner power-saving schemes), resulting in a lein on the property to repay the loan out of "savings made" on the electricity power bill. Sounds totally above board to me.

Can't be bothered to sign in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.9.84.252 (talk) 17:06, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
