Partidos and Departamentos[edit]
In Argentina Partidos (Buenos Aires province) and Departamentos (all provinces, but Buenos Aires) are the same. Buenos Aires Province has that name only por historical reasons. Buenos Aires[edit]
It seemed to me sensible to remove from this page detailed information about what the departments are not -- since the BA partidos (and comunas) are dealt with in their own articles.
I also wonder whether we really still need the long analysis of duplicated names, now that I have checked through, revised, and amended the table of departments-capitals-provinces, adding disambiguations where necessary. As it is sortable alphabetically by each of the three columns, the table itself can easily be used to highlight the cases of homonymy.
