Implausible claim[edit]

"The river was diverted on the right-bank by means of a 937 m (3,074 ft) horseshoe-shaped tunnel with a 70 m (230 ft) diameter. "

70 meter diameter diversion tunnel ??? Did someone omit a decimal point ?Eregli bob (talk) 07:27, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing it out, I have been expanding it in the last hour. It is 11.7m not 70m; Turkish websites commonly have commas (11,70m) instead of decimals, it gets confusing but that would be one big tunnel.--NortyNort (Holla) 07:36, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More ridiculous implausible claims[edit]

"The reservoir being the dam has a catchment area of 18,389 km2 (7,100 sq mi), capacity of 1,970 m3 (70,000 cu ft) and regulating volume of 960 m3 (34,000 cu ft)."

More ridiculous implausible claims. 960 cubic metres ? Do these people have any clue ? Eregli bob (talk) 07:30, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The capacities were million m3, now corrected. The catchment area is correct according to here and here. If you looked at the river basin on a map, you would understand why the catchment area is so big. Also, like I stated above, the article was just expanded hours ago so there is obviously typos, not necessarily claims. I appreciate you pointing them but please use better tact and judgement. --NortyNort (Holla) 08:36, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
