I'll finish this one soon! JAGUAR  15:29, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Initial comments[edit]

  • I think the lead could mention a little about its final days and its closure in 2000?
  • "and was affectionately called the "DI" by Las Vegas locals" - minor as hell, but the lead uses the initials 'D.I.'
  • The sentence "In 1959, Lawrence Wien, owner of New York City's Plaza Hotel purchased the hotel, but signed a management deal for Clark to remain as manager" in the history section is too short and would be better off being merged with something, to improve prose flow
  • "and he was forced to sell up and sell his share in the Sands Hotel and Casino" - repetition of 'sell'
  • "where it was held in 1967 and 1968 before moving to the La Costa Resort and Spa for the following three decades; it currently meets in Hawaii" - this doesn't have a citation. Is "it currently meets in Hawaii" relevant here?
  • "to display some of Wynn's art collection, The remaining St. Andrews Tower" - no capital
  • "On January 27, 2000, the Megabucks jackpot record" - what are Megabucks?
  • "earning £$10 million a year" - £$?
  • "The hotel remained a welcoming place to locals until the end" - sounds informal

All addressed, some good points, cheers. Jaguar. Megabucks is probably quite well known in the Vegas world. read here. I don't think we need to explain it, but there should probably be an article on it.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:34, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On hold[edit]

Great article! No dead links, well written and comprehensive. I'll leave this on hold until all of the above are out of the way JAGUAR  15:52, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers for the prompt review Jaguar. Will address shortly.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:08, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for addressing them! I wasn't aware of Megabucks, but since it's well known in Vegas I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Anyway, this looks good to go now, so I'll be promoting! JAGUAR  16:38, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
