Requested move[edit]

  • Talk:otis bobo.James Reiher, Jr.James Snuka II – Title is incorrect, the person being referred to real name is James Snuka II. This information is incorrect becasue there is common confusion between Jimmy's step-father's last name and his. (originally posted in the article space by Edwardqlipschitz)

Is this our Armando Alejandro Estrada? ekedolphin 02:57, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind-- I guess it's some guy named Kazem Ali. Sure looks like him, though. Especially with that creepy smile.  ;) ekedolphin 03:00, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adopted?[edit]

This profile: http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/profiles/d/deuce.html says that he is adopted. If there's further verification of this, it should be included in his article.

He is Snuka's biological son. I have no idea how the adoption rumors got started, but his stepmother (Jimmy Sr's wife) confirmed that Jimmy Snuka is his biological father. I'd believe a relative over a wrestling site that has printed rumors as facts in the past.

He is NOT adopted. A link to a story confirming this from a newspaper reporter who spoke to Jimmy Sr. and his wife: http://pojoslam.blogspot.com/2008/12/raw-thoughts_16.html Someone please fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.39.222.22 (talk) 23:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

XWF[edit]

I think there should be an mention of his run in the short lived XWF. (203.222.110.46 06:09, 25 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Definitely. If you have some details on this (i.e. the specific time period he performed there and/or any notable work he did there), please add it. Cale 04:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Jimmy Reiher, Jr./GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Overall the article is good, though I did find a couple issues. I originally found a couple dead references when I skimmed yesterday (ref 4 and another couple iirc), but they work fine today so I won't worry about them.

  • Any 2001-2005 info? I'm sure there's at least a one-sentence thing somewhere.

That's all I got, just do a check for me on that and I'll pass it. Wizardman 19:56, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, actually scratch that. If there were something I presume it would have been placed in, so I'll pass this. Wizardman 20:03, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 7 February 2015[edit]

(withdrawn; moved to Deuce (wrestler) after lifting move protect instead)

Jimmy Reiher, Jr.Jimmy Reiher Jr. – The comma is not used in any of the cited sources that I have checked, and is recommended against by our style guidelines (WP:JR). For some reason I'm seeing no move button – does that mean it's move protected, or what? Dicklyon (talk) 05:41, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, there's a move protection log on the page. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 09:52, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do we know why it's protected? I'd move it as uncontroversial to Deuce (wrestler) and withdraw this RM if it were not. Dicklyon (talk) 19:21, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I asked for removal of move protection. Dicklyon (talk) 19:28, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose and move to Deuce (wrestler) - on terms of WP:COMMONNAME. As a professional wrestler, he isn't well known by his real name, rather, he is better known by his ring names in WWE (the largest wrestling company in the world with international outreach) because WWE typically does not publicize wrestlers' real names on their TV shows. He had two ring names in WWE, "Deuce" and "Sim Snuka". [1] "Sim Snuka" wrestled 3 televised matches in WWE in a less than a month and won nothing. "Deuce" wrestled 53 televised matches in WWE in twenty months, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship once. So, that is the name in which he had the most exposure, success and longevity. starship.paint ~ ¡Olé! 10:09, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm good with that. Just need to get the move protection lifted now. Dicklyon (talk) 16:11, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not "(wrester)" like a thousand other wrestlers? We have very few "(wrestling)" articles, and they're for referees like Tim White (wrestling) and concepts like Pin (wrestling). Dicklyon (talk) 18:00, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sorry --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 22:00, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
