Premiere date[edit]

I don't usually make guesses at release date, but this one was very difficult to source. The best I've been able to find so far is a June 2005 date at New York film festival. If someone can find a better or more conclusive date, that would be really helpful. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:36, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, NinjaRobotPirate, but I looked on NewsBank and couldn't find any sources to help you. I then looked on LexisNexis and found one source, Variety, which might be useful:
  • Chang, Justin (August 15, 2005). "Players". Daily Variety. Reed Elsevier Inc. p. 6 – via LexisNexis. Pic, whose title is a contract killer's alias, reunites both thesps with helmer Fabien Pruvot ("Devil's Highway").
So that means the film Devil's Highway had to have been made before the date of that article. I hope that's helpful to you, — Cirt (talk) 03:36, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know that it played at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in June 2005, but that's the best I've got so far. It doesn't seem to have played anywhere else; or, at least, it's not documented anywhere. I'm thinking that maybe I should have just said 2005 and left it at that, because I can't find any reliable sources for a premiere date. In their review, Dread Central says 2005, and that's good enough for me. I guess it's not terribly important, but I'm usually able to source these sorts of things. It's frustrating to come up with nothing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:26, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to remember to perform some research in other archival databases, NinjaRobotPirate, hopefully it's likely there are other sources out there. — Cirt (talk) 12:00, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
