Can someone resolve the contradiction?[edit]

This page says that the festival takes place in the month of Ashar, but this page states that it begins on the last day of Choitro. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 12:25, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: The references for Dhamrai Jagannath Rath mention Ashadh (June to July) as month of the festival. Rathyatras throughout the world are supposed to happen in Ashar month^[1] although Groups like ISKCON are flexible with timing of the festival. So the article stating Chaitra is incorrect
