Why don't we have a birth date for this woman? Does she keep it secret? Spanish Wikipedia says she was born August 10, 1952 but does not give a source. Pascalulu88 (talk) 00:58, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that question, @Pascalulu88. The lack of a source is the significant factor. Two policies apply to this situation:
Wikipedia:Citing sources should be a basic principle for all content of articles in the English Wikipedia. (It actually is a basic principle, but it is overlooked too often.)
WP:BLPPRIVACY is an additional principle that applies to articles about living people. It says, in part, "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public." The only way to show such publication, of course, is with adequate citing.
I should add that WP:BLPPRIMARY prohibits use of public records as sources of content about a living person. That eliminates use of birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:57, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
