Birth date - question, March or June?[edit]

Is this person's birth date

JoeNMLC (talk) 18:08, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June, definitely. If you go through his Instagram posts, back years you can see photos of him celebrating in June, e.g. 2022, 2021, 2018. I'm not sure what the cause of this factual error that worldfootball.net and playmakerstats.com gives about March but if on social media players announce their birthdays, it looks likely eurosport.com plus some other websites which has this player are right. Soccerway and BDFutbol, the two external links, also agree with Eurosport about this topic. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:44, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– As seen above, there are two footballers with that name. The younger one is not referred to Diego Rangel Vega in every source/links provided so it would make sense for both to use consistent identifiers in any case. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:52, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nomination. No indication that either one-sentence footballer stub is primary over the other or that one uses a matronymic while the other does not. Diego Rangel should be a disambiguation page listing both men. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 21:20, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom, no PRIMARYTOPIC, turn base page into dab. GiantSnowman 18:48, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom, DAB at base name.--Ortizesp (talk) 23:58, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support with DAB at base name, no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and both use Diego Rangel as their common name. Maternal surnames such as Vega are not generally used as a disambiguator for footballers on English Wikipedia, with years of birth being used instead.
