Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Diogo Pinto (disambiguation) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 22:03, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have taken steps to work on the neutrality of this article but it still reads like a promotional CV with a lot of unsorced, unsubstantiated and irrelevant content.

I would imagine that a lot of the content has been written by the subject and there is not COI post on talk to say so. Having looked at the content I imagine it breaches WP:COISELF and there is a clear WP:NPV problem.

In any case, I'll keep an eye on the page and happy to engage in discussion should there be concerns. Jo Jc JoTalk💬Edits📝 16:50, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I can't imagine anyone other than him writing this article. 20WattSphere (talk) 12:31, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This guy is a what?[edit]

The lede identifies Pinto as an activist, but there are no examples of him protesting anything. He's been a government official for most of his career and he now works for the auto industry lobby. Suggest the "activist" label is inaccurate, unless a strong source can be found. 20WattSphere (talk) 12:17, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, he should be labelled as a "politician" and the article should be moved accordingly. Fluffycat55 (talk) 21:47, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about "politician", has he ever run in an election? Would "lobbyist" suit better? 20WattSphere (talk) 12:20, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of sufficient citation[edit]

There are barely any citations for the majority of the article and a lot at the end so I have added citations needed templates. A lot more sources should be used and this does seem to suggest that the person is writing his own article and using himself as his source.--PunchboxNET (talk) 12:53, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article doesn't meet Wikipedia standard on notability. They just added promotional links and all that. Should we nominate it for deletion? Caleb Ndu (talk) 20:06, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As seen in the edit history, the majority of promotional sounding content has been removed. Search engine results have yielded significant coverage of the person so I don't think WP:N is an issue here. I noticed CN tags have been added, so hopefully the article can be improved further.
