Location[edit]
The location listed in GNIS (ID #686762) is not correct. Most descriptions of the plantation come from literature about the Civil War, and all describe the plantation as being on the Louisiana side of the Mississippi River, a few miles south of Hard Times, and between Hard Times and Coffee Point.
This map from 1862 shows the plantation's location at about the same place GNIS lists "Disharoon Lake" 32°01′00″N 91°06′09″W / 32.0166864°N 91.1025319°W
