Confusion with other strontium ruthenate[edit]

I'd like to add an article on the compound SrRuO3, which is confusingly also called strontium ruthenate. I think that the properties of these compounds are different enough to warrant separate articles, but I'm not sure how to distinguish the names. Please advise La2O3 (talk) 04:59, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree: "strontium ruthenate" could be Sr2RuO4 or SrRuO3 or Sr3Ru2O7... Amongst those, I guess that SrRuO3 is most commonly studied/used whereas Sr2RuO4 might have the most spectacular properties among the different compounds. I would suggest having the chemical formulae as title for different pages and then one "strontium ruthenate" disambiguation page that has the links to the different pages.HBook (talk) 13:32, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If so, how do you properly format the formulae? It's not like you can put tags on titles or format it incorrectly like SrRuO3. 141Pr 21:11, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
{{DISPLAYTITLE:Sr2RuO4}} can be used to format the title. But I think fuller names should be used rather than formula for the titles. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 03:17, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should use strontium ruthenate as a page for all formulae it covers, as each compound itself would not necessarily be notable enough for its own article. We could talk about the differences between formulae in the article itself to stop any confusion. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk) 09:28, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
