Cleanup[edit]

This article doesn't need to be AfD'd, instead it just needs to be cleaned up and kept in the neutral point of view and not so much like an advertisement. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 22:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

Unsubstantiated claims re: problems with Inland Revenue, poor quality of English. But I agree this isn't an AfD candidate, Dixy is a fairly large chain with quite a significant presence particularly in the North. Pete Fenelon 00:26, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article is the target of a lot of POV edits and vandalism, possibly by one or a very few editors, usually IPs or single-use accounts. Might be someone with a beef (hehe) against the chain's proprietors or against Pakistan in general. It does need more info from someone who can provide NPOV sources along with that info, though. --DachannienTalkContrib 06:37, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Dixy Chicken Page.[edit]

Hello, I am reaching out regarding the recent edits (7 April, 2024) I made to the Dixy Chicken Wikipedia page, which were subsequently reverted. The changes I made were aimed at providing accurate information regarding the ownership of the Dixy Chicken trademark. To substantiate my edits, I would like to direct your attention to the official UK Government website for the Intellectual Property Office, specifically to the page outlining the ownership of the trademark Dixy Chicken by SABT1 Limited (UK0002367430B). You can access the information directly via this link (Official UK Gov Website) : https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK0002367430B

Furthermore, a visit to the official UK Company House website corroborates this information, revealing that SABT1 Limited is indeed owned by Mr. Mohammed Ali Bhatti. Notably, within the same section detailing company personnel, you'll find that Shakeel Arshad has resigned from SABT1 Limited. You can access the information directly via this link (Official UK Gov Website) : https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/06858407/officers

In light of these facts, I believe the edits I made accurately reflected the current ownership structure of Dixy Chicken. To provide additional context, the official website for Dixy Chicken is Dixychicken.co.

I kindly request your reconsideration of these edits, as it is imperative that accurate and up-to-date information is presented on Wikipedia.

Thank you to anyone that can help me in this matter. I look forward to a response.

Warm regards

Proposed Edits to Dixy Chicken Wikipedia Page - Regarding the 7 April, 2024 changes.
Dear Wikipedia editors,

  1. Ownership Information:
    • Before: Dixy Chicken is owned by SABT2 Limited.
    • After: Dixy Chicken is owned by SABT1 Limited.
  2. Company History:
    • Before: Shakeel Arshad is listed as the owner after the acquisition in 2008.

  3. Key People:
    • Before: Shakeel Arshad is listed as the owner, chairman & CEO.
    • After: Mr. Mohammed Ali Bhatti is listed as the owner, chairman & CEO. - https://dixychicken.co/meetowner/
  4. Website Information:
    • Before: The website is listed as Dixychicken.com.
    • After: The correct website is Dixychicken.co.
  5. Parent Company Information:
    • Before: SABT2 Limited is listed as the parent company.
    • After: The correct parent company is SABT1 Limited.
  6. Short Description:
    • Before: The short description does not accurately reflect our business.
    • After: The proposed short description is "British halal fast food chain."
I understand that our previous attempt to update the Wikipedia page was reverted due to the use of primary sources. In this proposal, I have utilized the company website (Dixychicken.co) and https://dixychicken.co/meetowner/ as a secondary source to verify the information provided.
I kindly request your consideration of these proposed edits to ensure the Wikipedia page reflects the most current and accurate information about Dixy Chicken. If you require any further clarification or additional sources, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards Dixy Chicken (talk) 18:51, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Edwardx,
Thank you for your guidance on the use of primary versus secondary sources as outlined in WP:PSTS. I appreciate your patience and assistance as I navigate the correct procedure for updating the Dixy Chicken Wikipedia page.
I understand the importance of secondary sources in ensuring Wikipedia’s content is reliable and verifiable. I intend to amend the proposed edits (April 7, 2024 changes) by omitting primary sources.
However, I would like to clarify whether the official company website, dixychicken.co, could be considered an acceptable source for straightforward factual information, such as confirming the current ownership—especially if there are no discrepancies about this information in public discourse. If so, I would like to make the same changes that I made on April 7, 2024 but leaving the primary sources (Gov websites links) out. I would like to rmention the official company website as dixychicken.co and when mentioning the new owner Mr Mohammed Ali Bhatti - and reference it to https://dixychicken.co/meetowner/
Could you please let me know if it's acceptable for me to proceed with the proposed changes on the Dixy Chicken Wikipedia page?
Best regards, Dixy Chicken (talk) 22:22, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information to be added or removed: Info Box "Website"

Remove: Dixychicken.com

Explanation of issue:

There are several reasons why dixychicken.com is not considered the official website for Dixy Chicken:

1. Ownership: While Dixy Chicken is actively working to acquire dixychicken.com, ownership and control of the domain are still pending. As such, Dixy Chicken cannot confirm or promote it as the official website for Dixy Chicken at this time.

2. Lack of Updates: As noted, dixychicken.com has not been edited or updated since 2011. This lack of recent activity does not accurately reflect Dixy Chicken's current brand identity, offerings, or business operations.

3. Consistency: To maintain consistency and ensure a seamless online experience for Dixy Chicken's customers, Dixy Chicken has chosen to utilize dixychicken.co as their primary domain until they can fully transition to dixychicken.com or vice versa.
