alleged controversy[edit]

There's nothing mentioned about that.

And Racial Steroypes in the films. Nothing mentioned about that either. I say the owner of this page should add a disclaimer about how the movies are "a product of their times" and reflect attitudes that have since fallen out of favor, but were the norm (at the time) and should not be judged by todays standards.

Finally, after watching a few of these movies on Turner Classic Movies, they're actually genuinely funny. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.49.126 (talk) 09:22, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First, no article in Wikipedia has an "owner". Anyone is free to make an edit in good faith. Second, the controversy, such as it may be, is already mentioned in the third line of the opening section. Third, no disclaimer regarding the subject is needed as such in an encyclopedia article since it is not promoting or selling anything. Best, Markhh (talk) 23:05, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title sugestion[edit]

These films have taken on, reflectively, the commonly understood designation: the Dogville Shorts. The WP title should be change to reflect this. I have never heard this group of films called the Dogville Comedies. TCM has shown these a number of times and always called them, collectively "Shorts."50.90.138.130 (talk) 07:22, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
