Essendon Reserves in 1978[edit]

The claim that he played a season with Essendon Reserves in 1978 conflicts with the fact that he coached Footscray in 1978. I have removed all references to him playing in the Essendon Reserves until someone can verify or amend that claim. 149.171.240.250 (talk) 21:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are/were two Don Mckenzies: (a) the Essendon Don McKenzie,[1] and (b) the Footscray Don McKenzie, who played for Footscray and Sunshine and, indeed, coached Footscray.[2] I have amended the article accordingly (including removing the tag to J. J. Liston Trophy winners).
