Tammy[edit]

Dorothy Squires did not write Tammy. See Tammy (song). --TheoMorgan (talk) 00:22, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Havers?[edit]

The article states:

"She even took out a libel action against the actor Kenneth More for mistakenly referring to Luisa as Roger Moore's "wife" (Michael Havers acted for Kenneth More)."

I would say the "even" should probably be removed from that sentence, as it smells a bit POV, but more importantly, who is Michael Havers(same person?) and why is he being mentioned in this article? I assume that means Havers was serving as legal counsel for More? Is this significant enough to mention here? If so, the sentence should be clarified and the name linked (if possible). - dcljr (talk) 22:39, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Havers (later Baron Havers) went on to become Lord Chancellor, a very senior post in government, and to father well-known UK actor Nigel Havers. I suppose the point of the reference was to emphasize his celebrity and perhaps, by extension, the claimant's determination to be represented only by a top-rank lawyer. What a pity we didn't learn the outcome. Thurble (talk) 13:06, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Squires vs. More[edit]

According to IMDb, Squires lost the lawsuit.

"Was sued unsuccessfully by the singer Dorothy Squires (aka Mrs Roger Moore) in 1969 when he mistakenly referred to another woman as Roger Moore's wife. Kenneth More had been introducing guests prior to the British Film Academy Awards at the Hilton Hotel, London for a TV film documenting the event. The other woman was in fact Luisa Mattioli who had lived with Roger Moore for several years after he had separated from Miss Squires. Representing Kenneth More was Michael Havers, one of the UK's most eminent barristers. The jury took just 30 minutes to decide that no defamation had taken place." How locals reacted to such celebrity status within their local village![edit]

Residents of Trebanog,a small and tragic village, plonked ontop of Welsh mountain, a land that sheep shant dwell upon, in the Rhondda Cynon Taff were at first curious with disbelief as to the rumours of such an well known entity living amongst them. Local Press were incoherent to these rumours, the marjority held a view of disbelief towards Dorothy Squires true whereabouts. As it was, these rumours were to become reality and Dorothy was residing in a dwelling on the shambolic, yet well used main road in Trebanog, surronded by a standard of living of which had not only become alien to her,but she deemed to be a thing of many an era ago. Thus of the quality of life the local people welcomed her and were sympathtic towards her situation and needs. The story of Dorothy, a star who came to our Welsh Valleys to embark on her next chapter of life, is discussed and talked about to this day. Esme Coles has remained loyal, with only the upmost regard toward an idol who was later to became a confident and friend. Esme's close knit family in particular Craig 'The Silver Shadowed One' Jeenes enjoys reciting the story in The Local Trebanog Arms to frequenters on most evenings, even adapting the story from one night to the next. He is now actively seeking a publisher his memoiurs and recollections concerning events of Dorothys time in Trebanog. Thus far he has not been able to find such an accommidating publisher willing to document his written work and theories, of which the latest being of the debunking of the big bang theory, claiming it is obvious for all to see a single silver hair was clearly the cause of the begining of all life forces and matter, refering to a time of childhood when a particular shade of hair colour emerged upon his crown with an untold power that if any human eye would look in the direction of the singlar silver hair, it was said that the beholder of the eye would instantly turn to salt. Remimisant to the story of Moses and the Modern day reaction humans are believed to succumb if looked directly at the point of detonation of todays nuclear weapons. With many a folk, historians and eygptologists citing fabrication, noncelence with regard to events that many believe to be the true events of Dorothys time in Trebanog. Regardless of acqusations of slander aimed towards him, Mr Jeenes continues to actively seek out a publisher willing to oversee the final stages of his work and future autobiographies he has penned about a many a person who holds a high profile in past societies such as, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Issac Newton John to his modern day peers, such as,Sir Alex Ferguson (sport),The Gibb brothers (known as The Bee Gees) and his true idol with a goal to emulate himself on a par and who is the pinacle of Jeenes deep set values Mr Owen Money. Regular visitors to the local betting office can participate in placing a small bet on weather he has any hair, regardless of color and lack of depth, which one can be confident of declaring it of a normal state by the time he reaches forty. Apparently the local Post-Master stands to recoup a small fortune as he forseen the silver creeping through many years ago, thus was able to place his bet at a time when the odds were truley at his benefit. The betting community in the nearby village of Cymmer have taken up the option of closing all transactions concerning in nature Mr Jeenes hair line, claiming it was an absolute shut case and obvious to all to see that this is a divine act of god, with only one outcome possible ,regardless of scientific breakthroughs and advancements in transplant technologies, they would be of no use to this particular person at all. Communities around the globe eagerly follow "The Silver Shadowed One" on Twitter, Facebook and Call of Duty game lobbies around the globe, not to mention a government interest as to how, where and why, only one sane true outcome we can all be confident of, he in this moment in time is swigging back a can of carling with enormous satisfaction and contentment of which only the bearer of the can of carling can truelly understand. But whatever becomes of this lost soul his name will always be Craig Jeenes a name that will be recalled through ages to come. The jeenes ideal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dillidalliali (talkcontribs) 02:46, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
