Lawyer, tuberculosis[edit]

I found this sentence to be pretty peculiar:

He trained as a lawyer, but also contracted tuberculosis.

As if to say lawyering and contracting tuberculosis are contradictory! Surely, this should be something like, "He trained as a lawyer, but did not practice due to his contracting tuberculosis" or whatever is was that actually happened. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kejo13 (talkcontribs) 16:26, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
