Portal renaming[edit]

The TJPA renamed the project to "The Portal" (https://www.tjpa.org/portaldtx) a while back and most news article are calling it that now. Should the article be moved and content reworded to account for this? Takikawa (talk) 16:59, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. I started looking into filing a request, but realized that The Portal is a disambiguation page and a new title as "The Portal" would need to be disambiguated. Since the current title naturally disambiguates, for now I am thinking I will just note the official project name in the article text. Takikawa (talk) 23:54, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Downtown Rail Extension → The Portal (San Francisco) – The Transbay Joint Powers Authority, the authority behind the project, has officially renamed the project "The Portal" back in October 2022, with news agencies now referring to the project as such.
