Winner and nomination info[edit]

I realize we have an external link to this info, but most Wikipedia articles on major theatrical and film awards have associated articles or lists that provide that information right here on Wikipedia. We mustn't forget that there are CD-ROM versions of WP and there will be more in the future, so in case this article's included, it might be helpful to have that information more readily accessible. Fair use rationale for Image:DramaDeskAward.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:DramaDeskAward.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Papa November (talk) 23:48, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why question notability?[edit]

Drama Desk Awards meet notability guidelines. See:

- J. Van Meter (talk) 20:01, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because the article itself does not establish notability. If you have a wp:reliable source that establishes wp:notability then just cite it and we are done. Remember, encyclopedia articles are for people that dont know about the subject, not for people who do. If someone, such as myself, has never heard of this award, Ill want to see a independent third-party source that confirms that this thing even exists. Bonewah (talk) 20:12, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Look at [this] example from the Tony Award. See? Now i dont have to take Wikipedia's word for it that the Tony Award is a real, important thing. Bonewah (talk) 20:14, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing?[edit]

The Drama Desk official site is useless when it comes to past years' awards. I'm having trouble finding online sources. Here is, for example, a Google cache of the official site's no-longer-available list of 1973-74 awards, but it's non-archiveable, so when this cache is no longer available (as happens with some regularity with Google caches), is this information no longer readily available?
