Wallace and Gromit: CGI?

I removed Wallace and Gromit from the CG Animated Films since it isn't CGI but rather clay animation. --Kindeditor 00:26, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Similarly, Flushed Away is incorrectly listed here as a stop motion film, but it is actually computer animation made to look like stop motion in Aardman's style. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.128.102.183 (talk) 01:15, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Wallace and Gromit actually is CGI. Check the article. 74.33.174.133 (talk) 02:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Shark Tale 2

Shark Tale 2 has not been "announced." The possibility was only discussed before Shark Tale came out. So, I am removing it.

Citations

Can someone get cites for the more remote future films (2009 and later) espeically the red linked ones. If there are real annoucements (or even rumours mentioned in Variety) they should be kept, but purely speculative stuff should be removed per WP:CRYSTAL. 67.42.137.235 15:59, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Merger proposal

I see no reason why the List of DreamWorks animation projects should not be merged with this page. The content is redundant and already exists in a wikitable on the current page. People interested in longer lists of animation projects could alternately go to List of computer-animated films, for example. What are people's thoughts on this? Osubuckeyeguy (talk) 15:49, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

I'd agree that the information is largely redundant. The List page would only warrant its own unique page if this page was too large or complicated. Whichever page it goes on, there is a duplication of information, so not needed twice. Rob Sinden (talk) 08:45, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

2nd Highest Grossing Brand?

It is misleading to say "DreamWorks Animation is the second highest-grossing brand of all time" when it is the second highest grossing movie brand, and not just a general brand like it implies. The statistic is cited but the way it is written in the article needs to be clearer.--24.6.49.138 (talk) 05:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

DreamWorks Animation possible sale

SoftBank and Hasbro have made attempts to buy DWA but Reliance Entertainment, who bought 50% of DreamWorks Pictures, surprizingly isn't the siltiest bit interested. Lucasfilm used to own Pixar but then they became separate companies until Disney bought them both, and they also have a distribution deal with DWP. DWP and DWA could end up like Lucasfilm and Pixar. Disney could even buy DWA.

Do you have a reliable source to prove your statement?--Chamith (talk) 09:43, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

DreamWorks Animation still doing a Trolls show for Netflix instead of Universal Kids?

I thought, because Comcast (via NBCUniversal) now owns DreamWorks Animation, Trolls: The Beat Goes On would be their first TV show for Universal Kids instead of Netflix. Why is DreamWorks Animation still doing shows for Netflix, when they're now owned by Comcast under NBCUniversal, who has a network known as Universal Kids? --2601:2C0:C280:21A0:7019:152C:C8A0:6C58 (talk) 16:16, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Disney buys Fox

Since Disney bought Fox, who distributed Dreamworks films from 2013 to 2017, does this mean that Dreamworks films such as The Croods, Turbo, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Penguins of Madagascar, Home, Kung Fu Panda 3, Trolls, The Boss Baby, and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie are now Disney?

I've come back from the weekend to discover similar disruptions and would like to pull the trigger on your offer @NinjaRobotPirate:--I'm Part-Spider (Would you like to know more?) 18:44, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
I did a short semi-protection. I can do it longer if it becomes more of a problem. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:07, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

DreamWorks Television Animation

Should we add that this division was shut down in 1999? Here is the link: https://www.awn.com/news/dreamworks-tv-shuts-down--Evope (talk) 20:52, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

No, because DreamWorks Animation has since formed another television division around the time they signed their contract with Netflix, and they also produced the animated sitcom Father of the Pride for NBC a decade prior. IceWalrus236 (talk) 19:14, 25 October 2019 (UTC)

Also, To whoever's proposing merging DreamWorks Animation Television: the merger is unnecessary because it's its own thing, and it has a full page. --XSMan2016 (talk) 17:58, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

How utterly bizarre! The proposal for a merge was made on April 30, not in March as the template claims. The article wasn't even created until April 28 this year.
I agree that they are separate topics, and as no one has argued in favour of the merger in the last 109 days, this is very safe to close. -- Zanimum (talk) 23:34, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Ah. Sorry, different talk page. I'm still removing the template. -- Zanimum (talk) 23:37, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Most of the "franchises" shouldn't even be there since having a series doesn't validate it being a franchise. One exception is Spirit since it's getting a stand-alone sequel Ameryder23456789011 (talk) 18:19, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. (CC) Tbhotch 18:59, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

I'm requesting that you update one thing on the DreamWorks Animation Franchises. The Spirit franchise only lists one film in the series but there are actually two films. The second is Spirit Untamed. Rvsensing (talk) 19:47, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

Roger Enrico

Shall we add that Roger Enrico was the chairman of DreamWorks Animation from 2004-2012? The chairman is greater in importance at the company than the CEO. That would make him the original head of the new division and not Jeffrey Katzenberg. It's revealed on Annual Report 2004 document on PDF (reference 12). --Evope (talk) 19:56, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

Dreamworks Official Website I tried to visit crashed my Dell Windows computer every time.

To the Wikipedia users.

I have an issue to report, I tried to visit Dreamworks official website and it froze my PC and crashed my Dell PC computer with the blue screen error message like 3 times. I don't know if other people have this issue. Please contact the Dreamworks staff members to fix their official website so that it doesn't crash my PC computer or other peoples PC computers. My computer is like 3 years old. I don't usually have issues with visiting other websites.

Can we turn off Dreamworks official website link until the glitch crash issue is fixed. I'm so sorry to bring this up on wikipedia. Nobody should ever have their PC crash when they go to an official website. Let me know if the Wikipedia users are experience the crash issue going to Dreamworks official webiste. Change the mr Peabody & Sherman franchises to Rocky & Bullwinkle 92.236.253.249 (talk) 92.236.253.249 (talk) 15:29, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. It is referring to the movie and television shows, not the entire expanded universe in which Rocky and Bullwinkle as well as Mr. Peabody and Sherman exist. Portal bar

Template:Portal_bar Please note that the documentation of this template specifically says it does not belong in the "See also" section. Please either use Template:Portal for the Portal box if you want to have it in the See also section, or move the portal bar down to the bottom of the page with the navboxes and categories. -- 109.76.132.77 (talk) 06:14, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
