POV claims[edit]

I've removed the following, as the claims listed are uncited and pov. (WP:CITE & WP:NPOV) I've also removed the external link as a drivers union link isn't really appropiate under the DSA.

  • Also Known by Driving Instructors as "The Double Standards Agency"
  • Even after making all that money they are still going to put prices up.
  • Many people in the UK belive it is possible to pass the test in only 10 to 20 lessons ...

Note added to users talk page, asked to reply here, if required. MartinRe 09:34, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Claims re-inserted, but no reply either on users page, or here. Removing once more with request to move discussion here. MartinRe 16:04, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Removed personal comment from article page. MartinRe 16:36, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also leaving for the moment, as number of my reverts is worrying. (one for vandalism yesterday, two removing pov issues today (one in multi part) and one today removing personal comment) MartinRe 16:57, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Explainations[edit]

To clarify why I removed the claims in question:

  • Also Known by Driving Instructors as "The Double Standards Agency"
    • No reference given for this quote. I'm sure every TLA company has several versions, either funny like NSA or derogatory like this one. However unless it's notable, probably not worth putting in, as the list could be long. A google search comes up with some references from blogs and fourms. Comparision: Google search for exact "nickname" DSA: 148 results, NSA: 52,500
  • Even after making all that money they are still going to put prices up.
    • Better to stick to facts, e.g. Price list (and increases).
comment: Have inserted price list now, which should make any increases clear. MartinRe 18:23, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Many people in the UK belive it is possible to pass the test in only 10 to 20 lessons ...
    • Uncited, also very vague "many people think 10-20". Much better to insert would be reference to stats which show that x% of people passed after y lessons.

Comments welcome, MartinRe 16:57, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CRB Check[edit]

"The final stage of the process is a Criminal Records Bureau check". Actually this is not true. The check must be carried out before applicants are registered as potential driving instructors (PDIs). User:Okashii
