"Drupal core" or "the Drupal core"?
I haven't dealt a lot yet with Drupal, but it seems that those who are familiar with Drupal often refer to "Drupal core" as an understood entity in and of itself, rather than saying "the Drupal core" referring to Drupal as the entity which has a core. It seems odd to me that they would do this. We don't talk about Linux kernel, we talk about the Linux kernel. Linux is something that has a kernel.
My question is, here at Wikipedia, should we be talking about "Drupal core" or "the Drupal core"? The English language seems to dictate that we use the latter, but when we're dealing with foreign languages and new technologies like "Drupal" we're not really in the realm of the English language anymore. ...but what do you think? ~B Fizz (talk) 22:05, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- My opinion- use the language appropriate for the topic. People regularly refer to "hacking Drupal core", "downloading core", etc. It's not "the core" in common usage. --Replysixty (talk) 09:33, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
