Does anyone know where he got his nickname? NBK1122 (talk) 03:24, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

personal life

much of the "personal life" section ocvers things that are not part of his personal life. Baking a wedding cake for an idol is not personal, since he is a baker, and this is his profession.baking a large cupcake for a fundraiser is not personal for the same rason. Metric!

I fixed the weight and height of the giant cup-cake. Could you ignoramuses learn how to use grown-up measurements? When writing for an international publication, any measurement, that is not expressed in metric terms is WRONG. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.158.54.102 (talk) 02:01, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, that is not Wikipedia's policy concerning measurements. Rmhermen (talk) 23:57, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

He did not graduate from McLean High he graduated from Sandwich High

The original Wikipedia article, under "Early life", stated "Goldman graduated from McLean High School in McLean, Virginia in 1992...", I changed this because it is not correct.

I'm writing this out in detail here because I thought there might be some question on this. If you Google McLean High with Duff Goldman's name there are more than several sites which state he graduated from there BUT these are all user contributor sites, have no sources, and are copy and pastes of the information as originally written in Wikipedia. The Facebook page, which is NOT Goldman's official nor personal page, but is a community (fan) page even attributes its info to Wikipedia.

The correct sourced info is that Goldman graduated from Sandwich High School in Sandwich, Ma on Cape Cod. This is stated in his Food Network profile http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes-and-cooking/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-duff/index.html " '1993 Duff graduates from Sandwich High School in Sandwich, MA.' 'My God, were they happy to have me out of there-the vice principal just beamed the whole day,' he says." In another article Goldman states " I graduated high school on the Cape. I wanted to get out of the Cape. At any college in Massachusetts, I would have had friends from high school there. I wanted to do something different, where I knew absolutely nobody." http://welcometobaltimorehon.com/the-sweet-life-of-duff-goldman. His Mom states in an interview that he attended high school in Cape Cod after McLean. "By the time we moved to Cape Cod, his new high school, (where discipline and rigidity of the curriculum were the primary subscription) was very a different place from what he had become used to back in McLean. The Cape Relay http://www.trifind.com/re_10089/TheCapeRelay.html also mentions that Goldman graduated from Sandwich High in 1993.

I feel there are enough adequate reliable sources to confirm he did not graduate from McLean.Slinkybinky (talk) 21:34, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Not to mention it says he graduated from Sandwich High School in his book, Ace of Cakes. -- Al™ 06:57, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
