portuguese victory it was quite litterly a treaty with portugal giving money back, anad its not 1 invasion so its very misleading to put victory for anyone. also spain particiapted, many natives, generals are weird. @TorimemGlobalReference221 (talk) 15:10, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not misleading at all. The dutch were expelled from Brazil. The Dutch-Portuguese War article itself states this. Torimem (talk) 16:17, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not misleading. The Dutch capitulated in Campina do Taborda on 26 January 1654, after almost two years of siege on its capital, and were expelled from Brazil. It does not matter if they were successful in the beginning, what matters is the final result.
Seven years later, after the end of the invasions, in this treaty, the Dutch Republic recognized Portuguese sovereignty over Dutch Brazil in exchange for an indemnity. Saguescabe (talk) 04:03, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
do u think i don't know that, however its not a victory for anyone i have given my reasons above, and its also stupid to put victory as the word invasions not invasion is in the title, some invasions where succesfull. but later on kicked out. its VERY misleading overall. i think it can be fixed with this result tell me if u agree, Dutch initial succeses but eventually expelled;
Treaty of The hague (1661) after invasion threat. or just leave as it as it is nowGlobalReference221 (talk) 18:17, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
