Feudal Earldom[edit]
The title "Earl of Wigtoun and Lord of Cumbernauld" continues to exist, and is (and was) a feudal - i.e. non-Peerage - title, which can (as with all Scottish feudal titles) be bought and sold. [Title for sale]

Searching for Douglas Earls of Wigtown takes one to the Earl of Wigtown page, where a link to Douglas Earls of Wigtown takes one to the Earl of Douglas page, where the link to Earls of Wigtown goes back to the Earl of Wigtown page.
