Confusion[edit]

So, who created the flag? Cobb / Look magazine or Boze? The article is confusing. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:08, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Theta-like symbol was designed by Cobb. Look magazine incorporated Cobb's symbol into a flag design on paper. Boze made an actual flag out of fabric, using the design from Look. I hope the text of the article makes that clear now.  --Lambiam 17:51, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I remember a version that had more conventional US flag colors (red and white stripes, and a white theta on a blue canton). AnonMoos (talk) 21:09, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is it possible you're thinking of the Peace Flag ?  --Lambiam 22:19, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think there was an ecology version of that as well... AnonMoos (talk) 01:08, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Today is Earth Day, 2015[edit]

Go to https://www.google.com/ to see a spinning Earth; click on it and you can click on one of four animals, "Which animal are you?" based on your personal-trait-self-identification. Then other Google-search links are listed. -- Have a Happy Earth Day! -- AstroU (talk) 13:30, 22 April 2015 (UTC) -- PS: The Google search results include knowledge quizzes and trivia quizzes. The 'Children's Quiz' includes such questions as, "Earth Day Quiz. Don't leave the ___________running when you are brushing your teeth."[reply]

"Death"?[edit]

The idea that the symbol is related to a theta for Thanatos comes from a less-than-rebutable source--a website without further references--and strikes me as apocryphal. I would like to see this more rigorously sourced or else struck. Ewilen (talk) 08:35, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
