This article is bullshit as it is currently[edit]

All very short sentences. The sentences repeat themselves. Incoherent, difficult to follow. Explanations are not clear and seem like they were written by a high school student. No added value compared to Economic history of the Netherlands (1500–1815). Many statements where I'd like to add "citation needed", e.g. "the Netherlands became a melting pot for religious acceptance (...) and were able to overcome Portugal because of it" (paraphrased). The Portuguese were overcome by the 1600's and the Dutch were a brutal people.

This article is in need of being re-written entirely, or better, deleted and any information that is relevant can be merged into Economic history of the Netherlands (1500–1815). 2A02:181F:0:80A7:F89D:3C10:FE85:6A4B (talk) 10:12, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
