Where was he born?[edit]

Was he born in Derry, or did I imagine that?

because he lives in corby —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.71.75.69 (talk) 21:20, 9 February 2011 (UTC)i can confirm he is a well known former professional footballer who resides in the borough of Corby, Northamptonshire. A town known as "little Scotland", hence the reference to having a Scottish accent. He was a favourite with the fans at Northampton Town FC, near the end of the County Ground era. An awesome dribbler who was quick and regularly took on 7 or more opposition players from his own penalty area or thereabouts, the length of the pitch frequently providing the through pass to a Cobblers goal. I witnessed it myself many times, as a Northampton Town season ticket holder from 1987 onwards, 1st game was the Division 4 title clincher of 86/87 season, in which Eddie McGoldrick played. Also I am a Corby resident myself, born and raised in the most part. @corbycobbler on twitter is my username by the way[reply]
