Date of founding[edit]

"Edinburgh" appears in an Australian biographical article about John Alexander Dowie, as his birthplace in 1847. It probably means the Scottish city, but I checked this article to see whether Edinburgh, Australia, existed then. There apparently is no entry in the "infobox" for a date of any kind, and it would be informative to know when Edinburgh came into existence. Unfree (talk) 13:23, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
