Assessed as mid-importance for WikiProject Ireland because he was Chief Secretary for Ireland. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:36, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other Cardwells of doubtful relevance[edit]

Just for the record: the 14:28, 15 June 2011 edit by 'Cardwell222' (the name itself sufficing to strongly suggest an agenda) was the origin of the later-removed statement that Cardwell had two children, 'Margaret and Paul' (proven false by innumerable sources), as well as the irrelevant statement regarding 'the current branch of the Cardwells' and their marriage into an Austrian family- no doubt there were possibly a great number of other Cardwells related somehow or other to this man, but no relationship is stated (save that an Austrian book indicates the marriage of a Cardwell to an Austrian) and it's pretty clear this addition was for self-aggrandising purposes. 'Cardwell222' having made edits to this document and to 'Austrian cuisine' helpfully corroborates this conclusion. At any rate the information was of little value within the context of a biography of Lord Cardwell, particularly given the lack of indication of any relationship between him and these Austrian Cardwells. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.200.17 (talk)
