Why are you proposing the article for deletion, and how can I improve it? Let me know. CanadaRed (talk) 12:32, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Although I'm not the original prodder, I can certainly clarify a few things here:

  1. As written, this article is basically just a brief résumé of his diplomatic postings, and fails to provide any detail as to why he might be a notable diplomat and not just a generic functionary;
  2. As written, it contains no independent reliable sources whatsoever; its only source is the alumni magazine of the university he attended, which is not independent and doesn't make a strong case for notability (since such magazines will happily profile and/or report on even the smallest life milestones of absolutely any alumnus, regardless of notability or lack thereof, who keeps in touch with the alumni office.)

So if you wish to improve the article, those would be the two places to start: better sources, supporting a longer, more substantial and more encyclopedically formatted article that actually explains why he's a notable diplomat. Bearcat (talk) 22:45, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've added independent sources, and changed the name so that it is more accurate.CanadaRed (talk) 01:56, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
