Common name[edit]

Another editor moved this page from 'Edward Rosslyn Mitchell' to Edward Mitchell (Scottish politician). I have just moved the page back. The original move inferred that Edward was his common name. There was nothing in the article that supported this claim, nor anything in the article's source information. Graemp (talk) 13:44, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page should really be a candidate for deletion. The information about his candidature and election is already on WP and the article otherwise contains no additional information that is notable. MapReader (talk) 05:09, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He was a member of the UK parliament which automatically confers on him sufficient notability to merit a biographical article. The article is little more than a stub and we don't delete articles just because they are stubs. Graemp (talk) 06:16, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
