Early Life[edit]

The story of his early life and formative years are needed. From childhood through the beat generation when he was a young man. Please post any sources or info here, or add directly into the article. Thanks! Cliffswallow-vaulting (talk) 21:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Administrative Career[edit]

This information is widely available but needs to be properly sourced and referenced into the article. There are also articles on his tenure at St. Mary's College of Maryland. It also looks like he was either Dean or President of an arts school in Philadelphia afterwards plus prior to St. Mary's he was a Dean in the Ivy League in the Northeast. Help is needed getting this into the article. Cliffswallow-vaulting (talk) 21:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

I'm sorry about the bold-face that follows but people attempting to contribute photo's to Wikipedia often are thwarted by missing the following simple, but key steps in properly contributing pictures--

Photos are needed as well. They must be released by you (or any other source) as 100% Public Commons or copyright-free (completely, with no restrictions at all, not even any commercial restrictions) in order for Wikipedia to accept them. If you have Flickr photos (or want to create an account there and add photos that you have) you must then change the settings to the lowest possible restrictions (even WITHOUT any restrictions against commercial re-use). Then please post a direct link to that specific photo back here in the talk section.

Or, if you know how to upload to Wikimedia Commons that will help too, but then you MUST add that to the category "St. Mary's College of Maryland AND put that in the photo description or else no one will ever be able to search for it.

This includes the FULL name of the school, St. Mary's College of Maryland, as there are TWELVE St. Mary's Colleges in the world including several other in the USA and another historic one in Maryland. Otherwise again, your contribution will be extremely difficult to search. Cliffswallow-vaulting (talk) 22:51, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why commercial re-use of photos must be ALLOWED (Wikipedia policy)[edit]

Wikimedia/Wikipedia have no plans for commercially re-using any photos released to them, but cannot guarantee protection from theft of such photos or any subsequent commercial re-use, hence the need for removal of any and all restrictions, including removal of restrictions against commercial re-use, before Wikipedia/Wikimedia will accept them. Wikimedia commons is the best way to contribute (easier and less hassle), so long as they are captioned properly (see section above), they can then be pulled into Wikipedia articles. Archival photos?[edit]

If anyone has archival pictures, would you be willing to add one or two to Wikimedia commons? As a librarian and archivist, Wikimedia allows you to release such a photo to Wikimedia/Wikipedia. But AGAIN it must have the LOWEST possible level of restriction (including allowing commercial re-use) otherwise Wikipedia and Wikimedia will not accept it.

Sincere thanks in advance,
