concrete or iron suspension bridge?[edit]

Under "History" we are informed that the iron bridge of 1862 in 1925 had to make way for a new concrete bridge. And then we read that Elgin Bridge is known as thih tiau kio in Hokkien, meaning "iron suspension bridge". Could someone please resolve/clarify this contradiction? --Vsop.de (talk) 22:32, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Elgin BridgeElgin Bridge, Singapore – There is a much older bridge (opened in 1896) with the same name in India i.e. Elgin Bridge, Barabanki. This page should be turned into disambiguation page listing both Barabanki & Singapore Elgin Bridges. Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 20:38, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As creator of the areticle Elgin Bridge, Barabanki, I don't have any issue moving the article to Elgin Bridge (Barabanki). Infact I'll do it now.--Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 11:40, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
