Copyright violation[edit]

I removed some sentences from the History section due to copyright violation. The particular bit of text seems to have shown up in various places, including: https://raywhitecaboolture.com.au/local-history/elimbah-history, which gives www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au as its source, though I can't find where; also http://www.rdma.org.au/RDMA_Newsletter_DEC_2012.pdf, and in the citation added by Kerry Raymond: http://www.chapelhill.homeip.net/horton/copies/piula_Placenames/page23.html, which would seem to be in itself a copyright violation of the original: https://web.archive.org/web/20050622154955/http://www.dovenetq.net.au/~piula/Placenames/page23.html (though why the former would be considered a copyright violation if archive.org isn't, I don't know).

Someone could re-write the information in their own words, but unfortunately it also seems to me that this doesn't meet Wikipedia's standards for a reliable source. It appears to be a self-published source, a personal website, by Ron Potter,[1] who as far as I can tell is not considered "an established expert on the subject matter, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications". Nor has it been cited by a significant number of secondary, reliable sources. If it wasn't for the copyright violation, I probably would have left it alone as there are many other things on my to-do list - but as it stands, I can't really bring myself to re-add the citation. Sorry about that. --IamNotU (talk) 23:54, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
