Anything else we can fix[edit]

Alright, the most recent GA Review is above this so what do yall suggest we can still do to make this article better?--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 01:30, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The reviewers seems to have no idea what he was doing. I'm not saying that the article deserves a GA pass, but he should write down what he feels the article needs instead of just checking the criteria, failing it and leaving. See this article's first GAR for a much more adequate way to review the article. Feedback 02:22, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have read the article myself and see a lot of problems with the short and clunky prose. I agree with the previous' reviewer's statement that the article is too short. It is technically a list after all, and it only has 9 elements. Someone should re-write the article, focus on each of the elements in the table, and after Elimination Chamber (2011) takes place, there will be 11 elements, which is enough to pass an FL-candidacy, given that the article is up to their standards. Feedback 02:29, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The lead was much longer than one sentence yesterday (two days in wikipedia days) but for some reason bulletproof completely removed everything I put there and only left one sentence. This was what was here. Lead Now this is what's here Lead.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 21:06, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

...That which you added to the lead is nothing more than cruft. It reads like a WWE recap... Not encyclopedic material and certainly not suitable in a lead for a GA prospect.--UnquestionableTruth-- 09:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

At least it was a real lead and not just a sentence like it is now. BTW those wikilinks were removed bulletproof because that was another thing the reviewer said was a problem overlinking.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 21:06, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What he meant were the overlinking to the Elimination Chamber ppv, WarGames, and Hell in a Cell (which is done more than twice) as well as unnecessary and redundant links to Production designer, crowbar, table, steel chair, barbed wire, and baseball bat... What you removed were wikilinks relevant to the subject.--UnquestionableTruth-- 21:57, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The lead is the last hurdle keeping this thing from being better but I honestly don't know how much more I can do on this. I've been working on this thing I don't know how long and I'm about out of ideas on what I can do.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 22:33, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest a wikibreak--UnquestionableTruth-- 05:09, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another issue is something about reference #3 and #5. Don't exactly get what the reviewer was saying about reference 3 but ref 5 is pg. 25 from an addition of WWE Magazine from 2009. The problem now is I don't know anyone who'd still have an copy from January 09. Would anyone here? I understand the problem now with #5 now.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 23:06, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is there even a way to abbreviate unit conversions ex: 36 feet (11 m) how do I abbreviate that? --Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 00:24, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. See template:convert. Hazardous Matt (talk) 16:45, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Someone has got to have something they can add to the one sentence lead. If anyone does I'm listening.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 18:20, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Have you looked at other specialty-match articles? There's not much to the lead on most of them. Maybe there's just not that much to put in the lead. Give a concise description of what the Elimination Chamber is and leave it at that. Hazardous Matt (talk) 18:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If we're that easy The lead would taken up half the page. The problem when I wrote the last lead according to Bulletproof was it was more of a WWE Recap instead of an encyclopedic entry. I don't know how to write it without writing it from a point of view of a fan.--Voices in my Head WrestleMania XXVII 18:35, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Bulletproof was right. The lead that you had originally added was promotional and NPOV.
1. What is it? 2. Who uses it? 3. When or why is it used? 4. What makes it unique?
The answers to those questions should give you enough information to create a decent lead. Hazardous Matt (talk) 22:19, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's how its mofuckin done :)--UnquestionableTruth-- 05:13, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Roman numerals[edit]

I changed the Roman numerals in the table to "regular" numbers and my change was reverted. I don't understand why. Where does it say that Roman numerals can be used in the English Wikipedia and under what circumstances are Roman numerals preferable? It just seems like unnecessary complication. --Jameboy (talk) 01:10, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since when have they used roman numerals for regular WWE PPV's? Juggalo Dan 420 (talk) 01:17, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Article in nominated for GAN, it still has alot of primary sources. Add PWTorch, Slam Sports, and Wrestling Observer sources. Reviewers like third party much more than primary.--WillC 04:47, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A reception section should be included in this article. Its very easy to source and feature, plus would add highly to the article in any hopes of this being a GA.--WillC 06:10, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Variations[edit]

This section of the article is very poorly written, does not cite any sources or link to any other article. It is presented in such a way that it is very difficult to tell where the discussion about WWE's Elimination Chamber Match variations stops and another promotions variations begins. Should either be rewritten completely or removed with teh exception of the ECW variation. 86.152.69.31 (talk) 16:55, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
