Proposed move[edit]

"Scandal" is generally considered a POV word. "Eliot Spitzer political surveillance controversy" would be a more neutral title. I suggest that this article be moved to that name. JamesMLane t c 02:41, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A better name for this article is Troopergate (New York) Americasroof (talk) 23:02, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article names[edit]

These do not seem like neutral or appropriate names for articles. I don't see that anyone calls these "controversies" by these names. While the policies may have been controversial, so are the policies promoted by many politicians. But it's rare to use their names as the titles for the articles on those other controversies. For all his faults, Spitzer is still a living person. Better names should be found. 2602:306:C5B4:E3D0:A140:489C:7FEB:37D5 (talk) 02:53, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
